Casa
Lucertola:
Located
on the edge of the Sibillini National Park, Casa Lucertola
is a traditional Marchigiana farmhouse dating from the 18/19th
century. Close to the beautiful hill-top town of San Ginesio,
the dramatic mountain landscape of the National Park, only
10mins away, gives Casa Lucertola its amazing 'View On The
Mountain'.
The
Adriatic coast with its many family friendly resorts is only
40mins away and within a short distance there are several
medieval hilltop towns to explore, all offering their own
unique character, architecture and festivals.
Casa
Lucertola sleeps 4/6 with accommodation that is both spacious
and versatile with two double bedrooms plus an extra fold out
bed and a double sofa - bed. There is a large wet room bathroom
on the first floor plus a toilet/shower room on the ground
floor. The kitchen is fitted out in a rustic traditional
style and overlooks the patio that is surrounded by mature
trees.
The
first floor master bedroom, with a king size sleigh bed,
has stunning views of the mountains in the Sibillini National
Park across the valley, as does the patio area and the rest
of the property.
Standing
alone but not isolated, Casa Lucertola is the ideal rustic
retreat for a family holiday, a base for hiking or for a
group of friends just chillin! We have tried to maintain
the rustic history of the house in a practical 'non-prissy'
way but with the comforts expected of modern living ..................
The Views!
This area of Marche is a perfect mix of everything
Italy has to offer - sun, sea, mountains, lakes, rural culture,
unique local food and wine, festivals and of course glorious architecture. Italian society seems to have a unique capacity to hold on to the past whilst embracing all that is new. Here history is so obviously part of everyday life, woven seamlessly into the fabric of rural society, the old and the new sit comfortably side by side. Exemplified in this part of Marche it
is most evident in the amazing colours, textures and views
that seem to meet the eye at every turn.
